WASTE

Photographie argentique, Collage numérique 77,3 cm x 58 cm

Waste is both a recent photographic series and a reprint of forgotten photographs. The juxtaposition of these images and the choice of the title WASTE (scraps in French) appeared to me as an important revealer of reuse.

When portraits of dogs abandoned, abandoned, treated as scrap of our society; They are taken and thrown. Photographs of urban and rural landscapes, taken exposed and thrown "I have seen it, I do not want any more".

The collage seems interesting to me in the sense that the 2 subjects have several points in common. One does not dissociate the dogs of the open spaces, their position of waiting in front of a building, a house, in the middle of the nature, figure the attachment of the dog to its master. He was left there for a few minutes or cowardly abandoned.

Today, the notion of photography as a medium of documentation has been totally rethought. We take, we throw, we go to the next hoping that it is better. In realizing this series, I saw in some ways a revival of these cliches, hoping that the reading that will be done will hopefully have more impact than separately. And that it will not remain a Scrap.
